His focus was the terroir of Spain and his vehicle was the famous grape Tempranillo. Pesquera is known as the flagship of traditional Spanish wine making in the region called Ribera del Duero (the bank of the Duero River). Since then he has created 3 more estates within the Ribera del Duero appellation as well as the Spanish country side of Castilla y Leon and la Mancha. In all of his estates he focuses solely on the Tempranillo varietal with a similar hand in producing each wine to show the focus of the earth and the finesse of the grape.
